How UAE fuel prices are set
Since August 2015 the UAE has linked pump prices to global oil prices. A committee from the Ministry of Energy and the fuel companies (ADNOC, ENOC and Emarat) reviews prices every month. In 2026 prices rose sharply from April as world oil prices jumped, and October saw the biggest monthly increase of the year.

When do UAE fuel prices change?
The UAE Fuel Price Committee announces new prices on the last days of each month, and they take effect on the 1st of the next month. Prices follow the average global oil price of the previous month.
Which petrol should I use, Super 98 or Special 95?
Use what your car’s manual specifies. Most everyday cars run fine on Special 95 or E-Plus 91; high-compression and performance engines may need Super 98. Higher octane gives no benefit in an engine not designed for it.
Is VAT included in the fuel price?
Yes. Pump prices in the UAE already include 5% VAT.
